Dreams Can Come True
Monday, November 07, 2005
Andrew arrived home today safe and sound from his the-world-in-twelve-days tour. Bah, who am I kidding it's Thursday and I'm just getting around to telling you what sort of exotic loot he brought home from the Middle East. Yes. We are now proud owners of a three-foot hookah pipe. I knew I always wanted to take up hookah pipe smoking (just like the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland) and now my dream has come true.

Hello!
I have been enjoying your blog. As a long-time pipe smoker (I am an old "geezer" professor... it is nearly mandatory [grin]) I had always been interested in the nargile (hookah) and was able to finally try one out myself while at a conference in another city. It was a damn wonderful experience and I enjoyed it greatly.
The art of directly breathing in slowly, each lungful of the rich smoke too even me (again a veteran pipe smoker) a few tries to manage, but once I did, to sit back and simply breath in smoke, for 40-50 minutes... bliss.

I should have one of these, living in Q8! We call them hubble bubbles so I had forgotten the proper name. Hope you will draw it!
