How Low Can You Go
Tuesday, November 16, 2004
Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite places to shop for food in Southern California. It’s a great place to get those special little gourmet items at an amazing value for your money. It’s also famous or infamous according to some for it’s really cheap table wine Charles Shaw otherwise known as “Two Buck Chuck”. It is sold exclusively at TJ’s at $1.99 per bottle. Since, I’m not much of a wine connoisseur I have tried this wine and thought it was okay. I know some with a more sophisticated palette would beg to differ. Well to get to my point, TJ’s has sunk to a new low... a $1.20 low to be exact. You can buy a bottle of “2001 Tula Vista Cabernet Sauvignon” for a 120 cents. Winos rejoice!! Of course this is not a permanent arrangement, but a special sale to celebrate the opening of the 120th TJ store in California.
This is a review of the wine I found at Northbay.com.
