This week, Andrew and I have been watching The Up Series by Director Michael Apted. It is a series of documentary films following the lives of 14 British children from various social classes. The premise is “Give me a child until he is 7 and I will give you the man”... Dun Dun Da! Aside from the occasional cheesy music it’s an incredibly insightful film. Each child is questioned about their lives and hopes for the future. Every 7 years the film maker returns to examine the progress of each child. Thus far the journey has reached “42 Up” and I believe “49 Up” is in progress. I guarantee the results will fascinate and astound you. Borrow it! Rent it! Buy it!
