Who Knew???

Winnipeg, Manitoba was a hot bed of creative activity. Yesterday, I perused an art exhibit at the MOCA featuring the work of six Winnipeg artists called “The Royal Art Lodge”. The exhibit consists of drawings, video performances, stuffed felt dolls (I liked that part the best) and music. The kooky drawings were started by one artist then passed along assembly-line style to the next artists with contributions of their own. Eventually, the drawing would be deemed finished and dated instead of signed. There was also individual work by each artist on display. It was all very odd, but very absorbing.
The Museum is even offering a half day seminar to discuss the dynamic artwork coming out of Winnipeg Manitoba! Imagine that, little ol’ Winnipeg making it big in the megalopolis called Los Angeles.
