Triple digit temperatures in some parts of the southland made Sunday a popular day at the beach. Andrew and I spent a few hours yesterday afternoon at Zuma beach in Malibu county. The thin marine layer kept things cooler for awhile, but as soon as it burned off the day was a scorcher. Due to inadequate sun block application, I have a rather interesting sunburn pattern on my shoulders. Ouch!
