Okay, I'm almost up to speed in blog land, after this week's mishap with my aging iMac.

Wednesday evening Andrew and I had the pleasure of dinner with friends and an old time movie at the beautifully restored Orpheum Theatre. The movie presentation was part of a fundraiser for the LA Conservency—a nonprofit organiztion that works to preserve historic architeture in Los Angeles County.

It is a surprise to me, that downtown Los Angeles was the nation's first and most dense historic theater district. Many people are led to beleive there is only the "west side" in this big old town, but downtown is a treasure trove interesting history and discovery.
