Also referred to as the Castaway Fire—nicknamed after a restaurant nestled in the hills near the start of the inferno. This establishment happens to be my brother-in-law's favorite place to have brunch when he and my sister visit L.A. Foul play is suspected. The fire is expected to be contained by this evening. Unfortunately, Tuesday's forecast is calling for Santa Ana winds. The hot dry winds are nothing but trouble for the already over-worked firefighters.

The fires created a very dramatic background for the weddings and banquets that continued over the weekend at Castaway.
