Caffeine Deprived Fog That Used to be My Brain

Hanging around a yoga studio can put some pretty daft ideas into a person's head. Since the New Year the talk amongst the yogis has been the pursuit of a cleansing diet with life altering effects. After witnessing some ironed-willed ladies complete their three-week detoxifications with shinny-new-penny results I was really impressed. It got me thinking, could I be a shinny-new penny too? After much mulling and reading up on various regimes I came to the conclusion that folks (that would be me) with the will power on par with Homer Simpson probably won't succeed on a strict diet. Until I found a glimmer of hope from an article in Canadian Living Magazine about Dr. Joshi's Holistic Detox. Although, his diet is still strict the weird stuff is not required. By weird I mean taking a bunch of suspect supplements and God forbid he doesn't even suggest a daily enema.
So here it is, the foods I plan to avoid for the next three weeks. I have pointed with big red arrow my biggest weaknesses. At the moment I have nice throbbing headache from three days without my trusty coffee. Me and my dumb ideas.

Why? Why would you do such a thing? What result could possibly worth giving up precious coffee?!
Shall I come over to collect your alcohol, sweets, coffee and mustard? I mean, you know, just to remove your temptations. I'm trying to help.
How you are doing? I am bummed just reading this list. How have you felt?
