Everyday Matters Challenge: Two-in-One:
Draw Dad #20 and an Automobile #60

Pen only with watercolor pencil.

Left, source photo. Right, trying-too-hard version.
Do to the tricky nature of drawing a car I was trying very hard to be perfect with my perspective without much success. After a long time of erasing and growing frustration I decided to accept the results from using a pen only. It's little funky in spots, but I think much more fun than my first anal-retentive attempt.

I think that you have done a great job. A drawing shouldn't look EXACTLY like the reference anyway. If it did, you may as well have taken a photo.

Cheers,

Your ink drawing is wonderful! I too like it better than the pencil one...it's much looser and more confident.

It's interesting perspective, isn't it, particularly how far over the windscreen is. Well done.
