Big A and I went to an outdoor film festival in Pasadena last night. The theme of the festival was screwball comedies from the 1930's and 1940's. We had planned to go last Saturday evening, but extremely hot weather kept our butts home in air conditioned comfort. We lucked out this weekend when cooler temperatures prevailed on the last day of the festival. The evening's feature was The Palm Beach Story starring Claudette Colbert pictured here on the left.
I have to say I love old movies in general, but I cringe when the poor fellow that's not a white guy is depicted in the most derogatory manner. Other than that the movie was fun and lived up to its screwball name.
Like the good old days they played a cartoon before the main feature.
