Yesterday we spent a grand afternoon at wine camp. Wine camp, offered by the people at Learn About Wine, is a basic course about tasting, buying and serving wine. For me the most interesting part was the information regarding food pairing. For instance as a general rule Cabernet Sauvignon does not pair well with tomato sauce. I did not know that. But of course if cabs are all you like to drink then that’s just fine too. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to wine just recommendations from folks with tasting experience.
