What we have here is a chocolate hazelnut crinkle cookie. The recipe is in the December issue of Gourmet magazine or you can go here for the online version. I'm mildly disappointed is doesn't look exactly like the photo, but their rich dark chocolaty taste makes up for any aesthetic short comings. I know this for a fact since my official taster is fast asleep with a bad case of jetlag in which case I was forced to try them myself. Yes I know such sacrifice. If you decide to bake some for yourself use high quality chocolate. Save the Nestle chips for your garden variety Toll House cookie.
