Between Christmas and New Year's Day we went dirtbike riding in the desert. It was cold in the morning, below freezing, but warmed up nicely during the day and we had lots of fun.



I had my first crash! We were on a sandy trail and I was trying to ride near the edge, out of the sand, but my handlebar hit a tree and I fell over. Luckily, it was in the sand and I was okay. I was up and ready to go again by the time Andrew had figured out what happened and had come back to get me!



This is Teddy, our friend Nancy's dog. He's nice and very friendly, but will spend hours staring at reflections on the ground. He really blends in with the desert, if he goes more than a few feet away he disappears!



Sunsets in the desert are nice this time of year, but it gets cold as soon as the sun goes down.
