Give me that Old School Cooking Magazine
Monday, April 16, 2007
On the weekend I bought my first copy of Cook's Country magazine "from the editors of Cook's Illustrated magazine". It's not a new magazine, the first issue was published in February 2005, but since I've been on a comfort food kick I think it called my name from the newsstand. The magazine has a vintage but contemporary feel with a lovely open layout printed on oversized paper using mid-century style typography. The recipes include yummy stuff like cinnamon swirl bread and best potluck macaroni and cheese. They even have a taste test for the best hotdogs. Qu'elle surprise the low-fat dogs didn't make the cut.
