End of the Day: Working in Malibu

Not the most glamorous shot of Malibu.
Monday and Tuesday I had an agency gig (that's what they call jobs out here in Southern California) working at a toy manufacture doing mock-ups. It was described to me "as not the most glamorous" although I was excited because it was my first job from the agency. I signed up with a creative service back in April, but had yet to go out to a job until this week.
I have to admit my lack of assignments have been partly my own fault. I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat driver you see and some of the offers were in my book too far away. I wanted one that was just right, you know down the block. Well after a while desperation sets in and I took the first job that came to me. Even though it was in Malibu, 36 miles away, on big freeway that I've only driven on once. Sometimes you just have to put these things aside and get on with it and go. So I did and every thing was fine.
